How To Check Heart Rate On Iphone 6s

Six iPhone 6 features you may not know about

While we all know the new iPhone 6 is bigger in size and thinner in stature, we also know there is much more to this iconic brand of phone than meets the eye. But there are six features you may not know about the ever-so-pretty iPhone 6.

 1. Double-tap the Home button for "one hand mode"

While the iPhone 6 may be bigger, that doesn't mean you need two hands to use it. If you double tap the Home button, the screen shifts downwards, allowing you to access all apps with one hand. Handy, right?

2. Siri can tell you which tune is currently playing

Your very own personal assistant Siri now has an interest in music. Want to know what song is playing? Ask Siri! Siri interacts with Shazam, allowing her to listen to music and tell you the song and artist of the track playing. If you want to buy the track, Siri has that covered too – simply click on it and you will be directed to iTunes.

3. Slow it down with 240fps slow-motion video recording

The cameras on the new iPhones are pretty amazing. Not only can you shoot 1080p HD video at 60fps, you can also shoot 240fps slow-motion video at 720p and create time-lapse videos. Other nifty features that make this even better are the continuous autofocus and cinematic video stabilisation, which ensure your footage is in focus and stays steady.

4. Use your iPhone 6 to measure your heart rate

Want to measure your vitals? With the iPhone 6, you don't need a dedicated heart rate monitor. Used in conjunction with a free app (check the App Store), your iPhone 6 will measure your heart rate. All you need to do is place your fingertip on your phone's camera lens and the app will detect the colour change on your fingertip each time your heart beats. It then uses that info to calculate your heart rate!

5. Get in shape with the new Health app

Apple is taking health seriously with its latest software update, as iOS8 now features a dedicated Health app. This new app helps you track all kinds of health-related stuff, including your body measurements, your fitness, your nutrition, your sleep, and your vitals – you can also hook up the phone to your heart rate monitor if you have one.

6. Check battery usage by app

Want to know which app is sucking the life out of your battery? Go to Settings > General > Usage > Battery Usage, and you will find an app-by-app breakdown of battery usage for the past 24 hours and the past week.
